Doha, May 28 (SANA) Qatar condemned on Thursday missile and drone attacks targeting Kuwait, calling them a violation of the country’s sovereignty and a breach of international law.
In a statement carried by Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Qatari Foreign Ministry urged efforts to prevent further escalation and avoid wider regional instability following the attacks.
The ministry reaffirmed Qatar’s solidarity with Kuwait and support for measures aimed at protecting the country’s security and sovereignty.
Earlier on Thursday, Kuwait said its air defense systems intercepted missile and drone attacks that entered the country’s airspace.
The incident comes amid escalating regional tensions linked to the ongoing U.S.-Israeli-Iranian conflict, which has triggered Iranian attacks on civilian infrastructure in several Gulf countries since late February.
