Doha, May 24 (SANA) Qatar and Kuwait expressed support for Pakistan-led mediation efforts between Washington and Tehran aimed at reaching an agreement to prevent further regional escalation.

According to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani held a phone call with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, during which the two officials discussed bilateral relations, regional developments and coordination efforts aimed at reducing tensions and supporting regional stability.

The Qatari side reaffirmed support for diplomatic initiatives aimed at advancing dialogue and preventing further escalation, QNA said.

Qatar has previously voiced support for Pakistan-led mediation efforts seeking a broader settlement to avoid renewed military tensions in the region.
