Damascus, May 19 (SANA) Syria’s Interior Minister Anas Khattab has held talks with a diplomatic delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Damascus, led by Ambassador Lukman Hakim Siregar, to explore ways of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
The meeting, which was also attended by Colonel Abdul Rahim Jabara, Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Interior, and a representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, reviewed the main areas and potential avenues for mutual cooperation and how they may be expanded in the coming period.
The talks come as part of the formal handover of duties by the new Indonesian ambassador to Syria, marking the start of a fresh phase in Syria–Indonesia relations and opening the door to closer coordination on security related and administrative matters between the two governments.
