Syria rejects any attempt to target embassies or diplomatic premises- Foreign Ministry

Damascus, April 4 (SANA) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic affirmed its firm and unwavering position, rejecting any assault or attempt to target embassies and accredited diplomatic premises in the Syrian Arab Republic, saying that these premises are protected under international law and diplomatic conventions, and constitute a symbol of relations among states and peoples.

The Ministry expressed on Saturday in a statement its categorical rejection and condemnation of any slogans or actions harmful to states or detrimental to their prestige, emphasizing that such acts contradict the principles of mutual respect and international cooperation.

“Within the framework of respecting citizens’ rights to express their opinions, the Ministry emphasizes the importance of exercising this right in line with laws and regulations in force, while fully adhering to maintaining public security and stability, and refraining from any practices that may compromise stability or target embassies and accredited diplomatic premises,” the statement said.
