Cairo, March 17 (SANA) Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Tuesday condemned Iranian attacks on Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries, calling them violations of sovereignty.
In a statement, presidential spokesperson Mohamed El-Shennawy said El-Sisi spoke by phone with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, reaffirming Egypt’s support for the kingdom.
El-Sisi stressed the importance of de-escalation and said Egypt was working with regional and international partners to reduce tensions, according to the statement. He also highlighted close security ties between Egypt and Gulf countries.
The Saudi crown prince expressed appreciation for Egypt’s position and underscored the longstanding ties between the two countries.
