Aleppo, Jan. 16 (SANA) Aleppo Governor Azzam al-Gharib said that approximately 27,450 people have left the Deir Hafer and Maskana areas toward Aleppo city and its countryside, confirming their rejection of the dire situation imposed by SDF organization and the terrorist militias allied with it, and the decline in trust in these organizations after they sowed sedition and destruction in their areas.
“Despite the great pressure on the people, which is being exerted by the SDF organization and the terrorist militias allied with it, by preventing those who wish to leave the areas under their control through the safe corridors provided by the Syrian state, and attempts to obstruct their movements, the will of our people was stronger, as many of them preferred to resort to the dangerous and rugged roads, with the aim of reaching the areas under the control of the Syrian state,” al-Gharib said in a statement on Friday.
He indicated that this return reflects the residents’ faith in their homeland and government, and that the general trend was towards Aleppo city and its countryside, where they found safety and stability.
He also praised the stance of the residents of the countryside and the city who welcomed the displaced and opened their homes to them, emphasizing that this reflects the depth of popular solidarity.
This comes as the SDF organization continues to prevent civilians from using the humanitarian corridor in the village of Hamimah , despite its extension by the Syrian Arab Army, forcing many families to take agricultural roads and through destroyed areas lacking safety measures.
