Syria expresses deepest condolences to Turkey over military cargo plane crash victims

Syria has expressed its heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy to Turkey over the victims of the military cargo plane crash.

“The Syrian Arab Republic extends its deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the government and friendly people of the Republic of Turkey for the victims of the military cargo plane crash linked to the Turkish Ministry of Defense, which took place yesterday on the Azerbaijani-Georgian border that claimed the lives of 20 soldiers,” Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Wednesday.

Syria shares the pain and sorrow of the victims’ families and expresses its solidarity with the Turkish people in that tragic loss, wishing mercy for the victims and patience for their families.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense has announced earlier that 20 soldiers were killed in the crash of a C-130 military cargo plane yesterday, while returning from Azerbaijan to Turkey, approximately five kilometers from the Azerbaijani-Georgian border.
