Qatar welcomes roadmap to resolve Crisis in Syria’s Sweida Province

Doha, SANA-The State of Qatar has welcomed the roadmap proposed by the Syrian government, with support from Jordan and the United States, aimed at resolving the crisis in Sweida Province and promoting stability in southern Syria.

In a statement published on X platform, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the roadmap as a significant step that reflects a collective will to build a new future for Syria and strengthen peace and security across the region.

The ministry reaffirmed Qatar’s full support for all regional and international efforts to enhance stability in Syria. This includes fostering civil peace, advancing national reconciliation, ensuring accountability and justice, protecting civilians, and building a state founded on institutions and the rule of law—while guaranteeing inclusive participation of all segments of Syrian society in shaping the country’s future.

The statement also reiterated Qatar’s steadfast position in support of Syria’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, and the aspirations of its people for development and prosperity.
