Sweida Governor Mustafa al-Bakour denied Monday the circulating reports about a military operation in the province, calling them baseless.
In a statement published on his Telegram channel, al-Bakour stressed that these false reports are intended to disturb people, spread discord, and drive families into fear and displacement from their homes—particularly during the harsh winter conditions.
He urged the people of Sweida not to be misled by malicious rumors and identify those spreading them,in an effort to destabilize the region and exploit public fears.
