The First batch of modern operational equipment arrives in Lattakia Port

Lattakia, SANA – In a qualitative step aimed at strengthening the operational infrastructure of Lattakia Port, the first batch of advanced equipment arrived Thursday. This step comes as part of an agreement signed between the General Authority of Land and Sea Ports and the French company CMA CGM.

The First batch of modern operational equipment arrives in Lattakia Port

Mr. Ali Adra, Director of Public Relations at the port, elucidated that the shipment includes six flatbed containers containing three main components of the high-tech Reach Stacker cranes, manufactured by the Finnish company Konecranes, a leading manufacturer of port equipment. It also includes three additional containers containing spare parts and equipment necessary to operate and maintain these cranes.

The arrival of this equipment is the first phase of the port’s development plan, which aims to raise the efficiency of operational processes and enhance the port’s competitiveness, contributing to its position on the map of major ports in the Middle East.
