Moscow, June 25 (SANA) Separate drone attacks triggered fires at an oil storage facility in southern Russia and an industrial site in Ukraine, authorities in both countries said on Thursday, as cross-border strikes continue to escalate.
In Russia, debris from a drone attack ignited a fire at the Poltavskaya oil depot in the Krasnodar region, according to Alexander Kharitonov, head of the Krasnoarmeysky district. He said the blaze broke out after drone wreckage struck the facility but did not identify the source of the drone.
In Ukraine, emergency services said a Russian drone attack caused a fire at an industrial facility. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and no injuries were reported.
The incidents come amid an intensifying campaign of long-range drone strikes by both sides. Ukraine has increased attacks targeting Russian territory in recent months, while Russia has continued near-daily drone and missile strikes across Ukraine as the war enters its fifth year.
