Islamabad, June 20 (SANA) Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Saturday that Switzerland will host a technical-level round of talks between Iran and the United States on Sunday.

Reuters cited the Pakistani Ministry as saying in a post on the social media platform X that Islamabad will continue to facilitate the process as part of its mediation role in Bürgenstock, Switzerland. It added that representatives from the United States and Iran will take part in the talks alongside mediators from Pakistan and Qatar.

Earlier on Saturday, the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs said Bern continues to provide a “confidential and reliable environment” in Bürgenstock to support discussions related to the implementation of a US–Iran memorandum of understanding.

The announcement comes after US Vice President JD Vance said earlier that talks with Iran are expected to take place in Switzerland in the near future.
