Ankara, June 18 (SANA) The Turkish National Security Council reaffirmed Thursday Ankara’s support for efforts to strengthen Syria’s unity, territorial integrity, and development, welcoming progress in establishing peace, stability, and calm in the country.
The Anadolu Agency quoted a statement, issued after the Council’s meeting, chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara, as saying that the Israeli aggressive acts negatively impact efforts to establish peace and stability in the region.
The statement noted that those actions include violating the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, settler terrorism in the West Bank, attacks on occupied Jerusalem, and targeting Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Council called on the international community to take a principled and firm stance against the Israeli occupation authorities’ continued disregard for universal human values and the principles of international law.
