Ankara/Moscow, June 11 (SANA) Türkiye and Russia on Thursday urged the United States and Iran to halt military operations and return to negotiations amid escalating hostilities that have raised concerns about a broader regional conflict.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Ankara had called on both Washington and Tehran to stop their attacks and resume talks to prevent further escalation.

Speaking in Sofia, Fidan said Türkiye had advised both sides to pursue negotiations aimed at reaching a peace agreement.

Russia also called on the United States and Iran to exercise restraint and continue diplomatic efforts to end the conflict, following renewed exchanges of attacks and U.S. President Donald Trump‘s threat of further military action.

Earlier on Thursday, Pakistan said it would continue mediation efforts between Washington and Tehran despite the latest escalation, calling for a negotiated settlement.

The appeals came as fighting intensified following a series of U.S. strikes on Iranian military and air defense targets and subsequent Iranian attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan, prompting several countries across the region to raise security alert levels and implement additional precautionary measures.
