Capitals, June 11 (SANA) Arab states and regional organizations on Thursday condemned Iranian attacks targeting Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain, reaffirming support for the three countries and backing measures taken to safeguard their security and sovereignty.
Saudi Arabia strongly condemned what it described as repeated Iranian attacks against the three countries, warning that the escalation risks increasing tensions across the region.
According to the Saudi Foreign Ministry, Riyadh called for restraint, a return to diplomacy and the continuation of negotiations mediated by Pakistan with support from Qatar.
Qatar also condemned the attacks, saying they are a violation of state sovereignty and international law. Doha reaffirmed its solidarity with Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain and stressed the need to prioritize peaceful solutions and reduce tensions.
Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, said the attacks undermine regional and international efforts aimed at promoting security, stability and the peaceful resolution of disputes, particularly when civilian facilities and critical infrastructure are targeted.
Egypt likewise condemned the repeated Iranian attacks, saying they represent a serious violation of state sovereignty and a direct threat to regional security and stability.
Cairo reaffirmed its support for the targeted countries and reiterated its rejection of actions that threaten the security of Arab states, calling for political and diplomatic solutions to the crisis.
Algeria had earlier condemned the attacks on Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain, rejecting any infringement on the sovereignty, security and stability of the three countries.
The Arab League, the Arab Parliament and several other Arab countries have also denounced the attacks, stating they represent a violation of international law and the sovereignty of Arab states.
