Copenhagen, May 31 (SANA) Participants at a conference organized by the Syrian Network in Denmark (SND) discussed ways to strengthen cooperation among Syrian organizations in Denmark and channel expertise gained abroad into initiatives supporting Syria’s development and recovery efforts.

Held under the theme “From Dialogue to Action: Syrians in Denmark Working Together,” the conference brought together representatives of Syrian and Danish organizations, as well as community activists, including Adrien Bory of the Danish Refugee Council (DRC).

Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between Syrian associations and Danish institutions. Participants reviewed initiatives in education, technology, healthcare and civic engagement, along with projects aimed at sharing expertise and supporting development efforts in Syria.

Speakers highlighted the role of Syrians living abroad in contributing to reconstruction efforts and strengthening social cohesion.

Nada Naanaah, a co-founder of SND, told SANA that the network seeks to unite Syrian initiatives in Denmark through a platform for coordination and knowledge-sharing. She said a recent visit to Syria with Danish representatives provided direct insight into humanitarian needs and potential areas for support.

Omar Jabr of the Syrian Association in Denmark said the network is working on projects focused on remote education, technology and the development of physical therapy services in Syria.

Participant Abdul Hakim Muhammad stressed the importance of applying expertise gained abroad to support Syria’s recovery, particularly through digital education programs that could help war-affected and injured individuals develop online skills and access income opportunities.

The conference brought together representatives of Syrian and Danish institutions and organizations and concluded with discussions on expanding partnerships and developing joint initiatives in education, healthcare and community development.
