Occupied Jerusalem, May 20 (SANA) Seven Palestinians, including three children, were injured overnight and early Wednesday after Israeli forces shelled several areas across the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that five people, including three children, were wounded after an Israeli strike targeted a house on Al-Nasr Street west of Gaza City. Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance crews transferred the injured to Al-Shifa Hospital for treatment.

Medical teams also transported two injured Palestinians to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis after Israeli aircraft targeted a group of civilians near the intersection of Street 5 in the Al-Mawasi area west of the city.

Israeli artillery shelling also targeted eastern areas of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, as well as western parts of Rafah. Residents reported repeated explosions caused by demolition operations carried out by Israeli forces against residential buildings in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood northeast of Gaza City.

Medical sources in Gaza said Tuesday that the death toll from the Israeli offensive since Oct. 7, 2023, had risen to 72,772, with 172,707 others injured.

The sources added that since the collapse of the ceasefire on Oct. 10 last year, 880 people have been killed and 2,605 injured across the Gaza Strip.
