Antalya, May 9 (SANA) Minister of Local Administration and Environment Mohammad Anjarani discussed with Turkish Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation and benefiting from Türkiye’s advanced expertise in reconstruction and urban development.
In a statement published Saturday on the “X” platform, Minister Anjarani said the meeting was held on the sidelines of the preparatory session for hosting the COP31 conference, currently taking place in Antalya.
The two sides stressed the importance of establishing practical partnerships that would support Syria’s recovery and reconstruction efforts, drawing on Türkiye’s successful experiences in urban planning, city development, and the improvement of public services.
The meeting is regarded as one of the leading international gatherings dedicated to addressing climate change and global warming, bringing together ministers, experts, and international negotiators to develop the necessary international frameworks and decisions to confront climate-related challenges.
