Beirut, April 25 (SANA) The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health said on Saturday that the death toll from ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 2,496.
The ministry’s Emergency Operations Center said that, with four deaths reported on Saturday, a total of 2,496 people have been killed and 7,725 injured since March 2.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces continued artillery shelling targeting the town of Kounine and the outskirts of Al-Tiri in the Bint Jbeil district, and carried out a large explosion in Al-Qantara in the Marjayoun district.
Earlier on Saturday, four people were killed in Israeli airstrikes on the town of Yohmor al-Shqif in southern Lebanon.
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday that the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel would be extended for three additional weeks, following an earlier agreement announced on the 16th of this month.
