London, April 22 (SANA) The UK Maritime Trade Operations agency said on Wednesday that a container ship was targeted by Iranian fire off the coast of Oman.
According to Agence France-Presse, the agency said in a statement that a vessel belonging to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps approached the ship without issuing any radio warning before opening fire, causing significant damage to the vessel’s bridge.
It added that no fire or environmental impact was recorded, confirming that all crew members were safe.
Separately, U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday the extension of the ceasefire with Iran, just hours before a truce declared nearly two weeks earlier was due to expire.
