Occupied Jerusalem, April 11 (SANA) The Palestinian Ministry of Health said Saturday that the Israeli blockade and restrictions on movement through border crossings deprive more than 21,000 patients in the Gaza Strip of medical treatment outside the territory.

In a statement carried by the Palestinian Information Center, the ministry said Israeli occupation authorities are directly preventing patients from leaving Gaza for treatment, adding that only 420 patients have been evacuated over the past six months.

It warned that critically ill patients, particularly those in intensive care, face severe difficulties in travel due to the absence of an urgent evacuation mechanism. Their conditions, it said, continue to deteriorate as they remain on long waiting lists amid growing demand for specialized treatment outside the enclave.

The Palestinian Health Ministry had previously warned on April 7 that the ongoing blockade and restrictions on medical supplies and fuel risk pushing Gaza’s already strained health system toward collapse.
