Manama, April 9 (SANA) Bahrain’s Defense Force announced on Thursday that seven drones had been intercepted and destroyed in recent hours, bringing the total number of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles intercepted since the start of Iranian attacks to 194 missiles and 515 drones.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the General Command said in a statement that air defense systems, supported by the vigilance of personnel, had successfully countered repeated attacks and intercepted the projectiles.
The statement condemned the use of ballistic missiles and drones to target civilian sites and private property, describing such actions as a serious violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter, and a direct threat to regional peace and security.
Authorities called on the public to exercise maximum caution, avoid affected areas and suspicious objects, refrain from filming military operations, and rely on official sources for information.
On Wednesday, Bahrain’s National Communication Centre reported that six missiles and 31 drones had been intercepted within 24 hours.
