Abu Dhabi, April 1 (SANA) The United Arab Emirates said its air defense systems intercepted five ballistic missiles and 35 drones launched from Iran on Wednesday, the Defense Ministry announced.
The ministry said that since the start of Iranian aggressions, UAE defenses have intercepted a total of 438 ballistic missiles, 19 cruise missiles and 2,012 drones, according to WAM news agency. The attacks have resulted in the deaths of two soldiers and 10 foreign civilians, with 190 others injured.
The ministry reaffirmed its full readiness to confront any threats and respond to actions that could undermine the country’s security.
Earlier on Wednesday, one person was killed and another injured in the emirates of Fujairah and Umm al-Quwain after debris from two intercepted drones fell to the ground, authorities said.
