Arab Parliament Speaker condemns Iran over continued regional attacks

Cairo, March 27 (SANA) Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed bin Ahmed al-Yamahi condemned the continued systematic Iranian attacks against several Arab countries, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities and take a firm and immediate stance to stop these violations and put an end to Iran’s hostile policies.

“The blatant attacks carried out by Iran using missiles and drones against a number of Arab states since the beginning of the war reflect a recurring hostile approach that disregards national sovereignty and the safety of civilians,” al-Yamahi said in remarks published on the Arab Parliament’s website on Friday.

He stressed that such actions constitute a flagrant violation of international law and the principles of the UN Charter, and pose a direct threat to the security and stability of the region.

Al-Yamahi reiterated the Arab Parliament’s full support for all legitimate measures taken by the targeted Arab states to safeguard their security and stability, protect their sovereignty, and defend their territories and the resources of their people in accordance with international law.

He added that Iran’s targeting of infrastructure facilities, resulting in civilian casualties, clearly reveals the Iranian leadership’s disregard for the most basic rules of international humanitarian law and reflects a persistent determination to spread chaos and destabilize the region.

Several Gulf and regional states have been subjected to Iranian missile and drone attacks, causing casualties and material damage, as part of the ongoing U.S.–Israeli–Iranian war that erupted on February 28.
