Riyad, March 16 (SANA) Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed on Monday the latest developments in the region and their repercussions for regional and international security and stability.
During the phone call, the two leaders affirmed that continued Iranian attacks on Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries represent a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
They stressed that GCC states will continue to exert all efforts to defend their territories and provide all available resources to support regional security and stability.
Both sides also emphasized the need for an immediate halt to the military escalation, which poses a threat to stability and security in the region and the world.
They called for serious dialogue and diplomatic means to address regional issues in a way that preserves regional peace and security.
The Arabian Gulf region has witnessed military escalation since February 28, with continuing U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran alongside Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting vital facilities in several Arab and regional countries.
