UAE Defense Ministry reports fire at Al-Salam Naval Base after drone attack

Abu Dhabi, Mar. 1 (SANA) The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defense reported Sunday that a fire broke out in one of the storage facilities at Al-Salam Naval Base in Abu Dhabi following an Iranian attack using two drones.

The Emirates News Agency cited the ministry saying the fire affected two containers of general materials, with no human casualties reported.

The ministry condemned the attack as a flagrant violation of national sovereignty and international law, stressing its right to respond to the escalation and its readiness to address all threats.

Earlier on Sunday, the ministry announced that Iranian attacks over the past 24 hours had killed three foreign nationals and injured 58 others.
