Bahrain says it shot down 45 missiles, nine Iranian drones
Bahrain Defense Force

Manama, March 1 (SANA) Bahrain’s military said Sunday its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 45 missiles and nine Iranian drones during hostile attacks.

In a statement carried by the state-run Bahrain News Agency, the Bahrain Defense Force said its air defenses remain on full alert to respond to any security threats. It added that specialized teams were working to secure impact sites to ensure the safety of residents.

Authorities urged the public to remain indoors unless necessary, rely on official sources for information and avoid approaching debris sites.

On Saturday, Iran launched ballistic missiles and drones targeting Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Jordan, according to official statements from those countries. The attacks came in response to a joint U.S.-Israeli strike on Iranian territory.
