Washington, Feb. 28 (SANA) – U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said Saturday that Iranian missile and drone attacks on American bases in the Middle East did not disrupt ongoing military operations and caused no casualties among U.S. forces.
CENTCOM said U.S. and allied forces carried out coordinated strikes on Iranian military infrastructure, targeting Revolutionary Guard command-and-control centers, air defense systems, missile and drone launch sites, and military airfields.
The command reported that allied forces intercepted hundreds of Iranian missiles and drones. Damage to U.S. facilities remained limited, leaving operational readiness intact.
The operation employed precision-guided munitions launched from air, land, and sea, as well as low-cost one-way attack drones.
The United States and Israel launched joint strikes on Iranian targets early Saturday, and, subsequently, Iran responded with missile and drone attacks against Israel and several Gulf states.
