Salam: No retreat from monopolizing weapons in the hands of the state

Lebanese prime minister, Nawaf Salam, emphasized the Lebanese government’s insistence on its decision on monopolizing the weapons in the hands of the State, seeking to stop the Israeli violations and returning to a cessation of hostilities.

Lebanese National News Agency quoted Salam as saying on Friday, :”a decision on monopolizing weapons has been taken , the Lebanese military submitted a plan to be implemented, and in less than a week, we’ll set a date for a new report from the army commander, and there will be no retreat from this decision.

“we’re witnessing an Israeli escalation, and we’re exerting all efforts via the committee monitoring the cessation of hostilities agreement, the “mechanism,” and our Arab and international relations to mobilize all our capabilities to stop Israeli violations and return to the cessation of hostilities agreement”, According to Salam.
