Occupied Jerusalem, SANA- Israeli media reported that five Israelis were killed and more than 15 others injured seven of them critically in a shooting attack north of Jerusalem.
According to Israel Radio, the victims died of severe wounds sustained when gunmen opened fire inside a passenger bus, describing the incident as “very harsh” and a “black day for Israel.”
Authorities said the attackers were suspected to be Palestinians from the West Bank who exploited heavy traffic, firing into the stationary bus before fleeing. The Israeli army has since imposed a security cordon and sealed all entrances and exits of occupied Jerusalem.
The attack comes amid Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, continued assaults against Palestinians in the West Bank, and repeated settler incursions into al-Aqsa Mosque.
