Athens, June 12 (SANA) Syrian Health Minister Musab al-Ali met with his Greek counterpart, Adonis Georgiadis, on Thursday to discuss expanding cooperation in healthcare, medical training and professional exchanges, as officials from across the Arab world and Greece gathered in Athens for a regional health conference.
The talks took place on the sidelines of the 2nd Arab-Hellenic Health Conference, a two-day event aimed at strengthening cooperation between Arab countries and Greece in healthcare development, training and capacity building.
According to Syria‘s Health Ministry, al-Ali and Georgiadis explored opportunities for partnership in medical and specialized training programs, as well as the exchange of expertise between the two countries.
Both ministers stressed the importance of continued coordination to improve healthcare services and broaden bilateral cooperation.
The conference brought together government officials, healthcare executives and business leaders from Greece and several Arab countries to discuss developments in pharmaceuticals, hospital infrastructure, medical technology, health tourism and healthcare innovation.
Organized by the Arab-Hellenic Chamber, the event also featured discussions on emerging technologies in patient diagnosis and treatment, as well as opportunities for cross-border investment and collaboration in the healthcare sector.
