Damascus, May 7 (SANA) Syria’s Health Ministry has launched a nationwide survey targeting patients receiving biological treatments or suffering from rare diseases and metabolic disorders as part of efforts to assess medical needs and improve healthcare planning.
In a statement published Thursday, the ministry called on patients with conditions including multiple sclerosis and rheumatic, digestive, skin and metabolic disorders to register at primary healthcare centers with documents confirming their diagnosis and current treatment.
The ministry said the campaign aims to build an accurate database to support the equitable distribution and organization of available treatments, stressing that registration does not guarantee immediate access to medication.
Registration will continue until the end of May.
Last March, the ministry announced the arrival of a second shipment of medicines for chronic diseases as part of efforts to strengthen pharmaceutical supplies.
