Damascus, March 20 (SANA) Syria’s Health Minister Musab al-Ali inspected emergency departments at several hospitals in Damascus on Friday as authorities stepped up efforts to maintain healthcare services during Eid al-Fitr.
Al-Ali visited al-Mujtahid, Red Crescent, al-Zahrawi, Ibn al-Nafis, Kidney Hospital, Eye Hospital and Cardiac Surgery Hospital.
During the tour, he met on-duty medical staff and praised their efforts to ensure uninterrupted care throughout the holiday.
Al-Ali said the government will continue working to improve the health sector and raise service standards, highlighting the role of medical personnel in maintaining care standards.
He stressed the need to deliver services efficiently while ensuring humane treatment of patients, particularly those requiring psychological support.
The Health Ministry has announced a plan to ensure service continuity during the holiday, including preparing emergency units nationwide, strengthening ambulance services and ensuring adequate medical supplies.
