Deir Ezzor, SANA- Minister of Health Dr. Musab al-Ali and Deir Ezzor Governor Ghassan al-Sayyed Ahmad, accompanied by governorate Health Director Dr. Youssef al-Sattam, and supported by Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) inaugurated Saturday a hematology and oncology center in Deir Ezzor which is the first of its kind in the eastern region.
Minister al-Ali and the governor conducted a field tour of National Hospital in Deir Ezzor, to brief the services provided, as the minister recommended further support for these departments to provide the citizens with all services needed.
They also toured a number of health centers and hospitals in the region to inspect the health situation there.
Inaugurating the center in the province represents a qualitative relief step for the people there.
It is noteworthy that (SAMS) organization provides healthcare and medical education in Syria and neighboring countries, with the aim of supporting communities affected by humanitarian crises.
