Energy Minister discusses improving service quality with Idleb governor

Idleb, SANA-Energy Minister Eng. Mohammed al-Bashir discussed with Idleb governor Mohammed Abdul Rahman a number of service issues of concern to the governorate.

During the meeting, ways to increase the amount of electricity imported from Turkey were discussed, with a proposal to add 80 megawatts to improve the quality of electricity services provided to citizens.

A study was also conducted on a project to install modern water meters to enhance water resource management.

Discussions also focused on accelerating the preparation and operation of the Ain al-Zarqa reservoir to meet the water needs of the Maarat al-Numan area. The project also included rehabilitating government buildings affiliated with the ministry to restore them to service.

Final touches were also made to launch the Laj water station project, an important step towards enhancing water services in the region.
