Sweida, SANA- In recognition of their efforts and on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, Sheikh Yusuf Jarbou’, the spiritual leader of the Druze Muslim community, in cooperation with Sweida City Council, organized an honorary event for a group of cleaning and gardening workers Saturday at Ain al-Zaman headquarters.
His Eminence Sheikh Jarbou’ told SANA that this initiative is part of a series of activities and initiatives organized by the Druze community, in response to the generous donations that were distributed in honor of cleaning workers. The aim is to promote values of love, generosity, and humanity within the community.
Maher Amr, Head of Sweida City Council, emphasized that this gesture is the least that can be done to support cleaning workers in their role of preserving the environment and the aesthetic and civilized appearance of public facilities, especially roadways. He noted that this initiative reflects the awareness of the local community and its support for the cleaning and gardening workers who contribute to construction and development.
The workers themselves expressed their gratitude for this kind gesture, which reflects the community’s support and appreciation for their efforts, particularly given the difficult financial circumstances they face and the low wages they receive.
