Damascus, March 30 (SANA) – Syria’s Ministry of Education discussed with several international and local organizations programs aimed at addressing the needs of the education sector and improving the quality of learning during the current phase.
Deputy Minister of Education for Educational Affairs Youssef Annan said during a meeting held Monday at the ministry in Damascus that the current stage requires a more coordinated response to educational challenges, particularly accommodating the growing number of students while ensuring the continuity of the educational process.
Annan stressed the importance of expanding programs designed for students returning from abroad, aimed at facilitating their integration into the Syrian education system while addressing differences in academic levels and ensuring equal learning opportunities.
He also highlighted the need to enhance preparedness for the upcoming examination period, emphasizing measures to ensure fairness and transparency for students and calling on partner organizations to align their programs with the ministry’s priorities.
The meeting is part of ongoing coordination between the Ministry of Education and its partners. In February, the ministry held discussions with representatives of several international organizations on proposals for implementing inclusive education programs and establishing a trained national team to support students with disabilities.
