Economy Minister: Increasing salaries, an important step has economic, social, and humanitarian impacts

Damascus, SANA- Economy and Industry Minister, Dr. Mohammad Nidal al-Shaar affirmed that the two salary increase decrees issued by President Ahmad al-Sharaa constitute an extremely important step at this critical time, due to their economic, social, and humanitarian dimensions.

“This increase contributes to stimulating the economy and at the same time, it alleviates the burdens of living conditions of citizens, enhances social stability, and reflects the state’s commitment to improving the citizens’ living conditions despite all challenges it faces”, Minister al-Shaar told SANA reporter.

Minister al-Shaar added that we in the ministry call upon our partners in the private sector, with all its forms, to take similar steps to raise salaries and wages, in line with these national directives and contribute to improving the living conditions of all citizens consolidating the principle of justice and strengthening integration between public and private sectors.
