Tartous, May 9 (SANA) The port of Tartous received 298 ships during the first quarter of this year, including 266 cargo ships and 32 maintenance vessels, with trade volume surging to 2.75 million tons, including 2.25 million tons imported and 500,000 tons of phosphate exported, plus 20,000 tons of other goods.
April alone saw 100 ships (94 cargo, 6 maintenance) handling 720,000 tons imported and 190,000 tons exported, marking peak commercial activity.
