Riyadh, May 5 (SANA) Minister of Local Administration and Environment Mohammad Anjarani held talks in Riyadh on enhancing cooperation with Saudi Arabia in urban development and housing, during a visit to the National Housing Company.
Anjarani reviewed the company’s experience in integrated urban development and innovative housing solutions, and discussed opportunities to exchange expertise to support the development of municipal and local administration sectors.
He also met Yasser al-Obaidan, chief executive of the “Balady” and “Balady Plus” applications, and was briefed on digital services provided through smart platforms to facilitate municipal procedures.
The meeting comes after Syria and Saudi Arabia signed a memorandum of understanding in Riyadh on Monday to strengthen cooperation in municipal work, urban development and infrastructure.
The agreement followed talks between Anjarani and Saudi Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed bin Abdullah al-Hogail.
It focuses on enhancing technical and institutional cooperation, including the exchange of expertise in urban planning, service development and capacity building in the municipal sector.
