Rome, April 24 (SANA) A Syrian delegation headed by Agriculture Minister Amjad Badr visited the municipality of Perugia in Italy, where officials discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of agriculture, veterinary services and animal health.
The delegation was accompanied by Vincenzo Caputo, director of the IZSUM Animal Health Institute, during meetings with Perugia Mayor Vittoria Ferdinandi.

Talks focused on expanding technical cooperation, exchanging expertise and promoting scientific partnerships between Syria and Italy in areas that support agricultural development and livestock health.
During the visit, the Syrian delegation also toured the headquarters of TreValli, an Italian company specialized in milk and dairy production.

Officials were briefed on the company’s production systems, laboratory operations and management model, which is based on cooperation with farmers in surrounding rural areas.
The model helps strengthen economic sustainability and supports agricultural value chains from producers to consumers.
