Damascus, Mar. 26 (SANA) Minister of Economy and Industry Nidal al-Shaar issued a formal decree to establish the Syrian-Spanish Business Council on the Syrian side, within the framework of strengthening economic cooperation and expanding partnership opportunities between the two countries.
According to the decree, a copy of which was obtained by SANA on Thursday, Maher al-Safi was appointed chairman of the council, the council will operate in accordance with the bylaws governing Syrian joint business councils with partner countries.
This announcement follows a rapid series of diplomatic and economic appointments by Minister al-Shaar. Just last week, on March 15, the Ministry finalized the structures for both the Syrian-Italian and Syrian-Lebanese Business Councils. These entities serve as the primary legal and organizational vehicles for coordinating trade, facilitating investment, and developing joint ventures between Syrian entrepreneurs and their international counterparts.
