Damascus, March 26 (SANA) Syrian and Hungarian officials held talks in Damascus to explore ways to enhance coordination and facilitate trade between the two countries.
The General Authority for Land and Maritime Ports said in a statement on its Telegram channel that its chairman, Qutaiba Ahmed Badawi, met with István Gyula Susa, chargé d’affaires of the Hungarian Embassy in Damascus, to discuss simplifying procedures for the movement of goods and passengers, with the aim of improving operational efficiency and ensuring smoother transport flows through ports in both countries.
Both sides stressed the importance of exchanging expertise and strengthening institutional communication channels to support cooperation, serve mutual interests, and expand partnership opportunities in the coming phase.
The meeting is part of broader efforts by the authority to develop operational mechanisms at border crossings and strengthen cooperation with partner countries, focusing on facilitating trade and improving service efficiency.
