Damascus, SANA – Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, Dr. Abdul Qader Al-Husriya, announced the establishment of the Deposit Guarantee Authority in Syria, within the framework of the Central Bank’s comprehensive plan to develop the financial system and enhance confidence in the banking sector.
Al-Husriya stated that the Deposit Insurance Agency is not merely a new institutional measure but a strategic step within a broader vision to rebuild trust in the banking system and strengthen its role as a key lever for economic development in the coming phase.
He affirmed the Central Bank’s commitment to developing a robust institutional financial framework that serves Syrians’ aspirations and attracts partners at home and abroad.
