Damascus, Jan. 24 (SANA) The Arab Writers Union announced on Saturday the establishment of an independent publishing house dedicated to supporting Syrian authors and promoting national creativity both locally and internationally.
In a statement, the union said the new publishing house reflects its belief in the importance of books in transmitting knowledge, fostering innovation, preserving history, and encouraging dialogue among cultures.
The Arab Writers Union said its newly established publishing house will manage all printed works, market them professionally, and showcase Syrian literature at local and international fairs as well as online platforms.
The union said the move is designed to expand readership, strengthen ties between writers and audiences, and provide Syrian authors and researchers with a dedicated platform to highlight national creativity and enhance the global standing of Syrian books.
Previously, the union relied on public or private presses under its publishing department, but the new house will directly manage and market all printed releases.
