Hasaka Governor, ICRC delegation discuss enhancing cooperation in fields of water and aid, and small projects

Hasaka, SANA – Governor of Hasaka Jayez al-Hammoud al-Moussa discussed on Thursday with the deputy head of the International Committee of the Red Cross
(ICRC) mission in Syria Stefan Peterson and the accompanying delegation enhancing cooperation in the field of drinking water and establishing small income-generating projects.

The Governor highlighted the importance of also increasing cooperation in providing non-food aid to displaced people from other provinces and set up small projects that take into consideration their previous work experiences in agriculture and livestock breeding.

In turn, Peterson said the ICRC will continue implementing services projects in Hasaka in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), adding that
the ICRC will focus during 2017 on implementing projects that improve the locals’ livelihood, mainly in the countryside of the province, and supplying the citizens with the requirements of establishing projects related to agriculture and livestock breeding.
