Iran stresses need to combat terrorism, reach political solution to Syrian crisis

Tehran, SANA – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari reiterated Wednesday the need to combat terrorism and reach a political solution to the crisis in Syria.

During a meeting with his Danish counterpart Lone Wisborg who is visiting Iran, Ansari stressed that foreign intervention in Syria is “unacceptable and the solution to the crisis should be through intra-Syrian dialogue,” indicating to the importance of providing appropriate conditions to help the Syrian people decide the future of their country.

He voiced regret at the Saudi crimes against the Yemeni people, expressing Iran’s readiness to send humanitarian aid to Yemen.
