Damascus, SANA- Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al- Moallem met on Tuesday newly-appointed Chinese Ambassador to Syria Qi Qianjin and received a copy of his credentials.
Talks during the meeting dealt with means of enhancing bilateral relations in all domains between the two friendly countries, mainly in the field of fighting terrorism which is considered a common threat which all the countries of the world suffer from.
The Minister reiterated that Syria will go on in its war against terrorism targeting its independence, people and territorial integrity.
Al-Moallem hailed China’s role at the UN Security Council and its international moves for finding a solution to the crisis in Syria and respecting its sovereignty and independence.
For his part, the Chinese ambassador expressed his country’s care on supporting Syria in its war against terrorism.
