Moscow, SANA- Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova reiterated Russia’s stance which calls for a political settlement to the crisis in Syria through the intra- Syrian dialogue.
” Moscow hopes that the US and partners will not repeat the old mistakes regarding solving the crises by force,” Zakharova said Friday in a press statement on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
She stated that there are political powers in the United States call for a military solution in Syria, affirming that this approach is not of Russia because Moscow doesn’t back solving the crisis in Syria by force.
Zakharova affirmed that Russia’s stance regarding the crisis in Syria is well known, adding that holding the political talks process, forming the International Syria Support Group and launching the political dialogue among the Syrians through the UN and the other international players are the best evidences on this stance.
