Buenos Aires, SANA – Argentina denounced on Thursday the terrorist bombings that hit Jableh and Tartous cities last Monday and claimed the lives of scores of civilians.
In a statement issued by its Foreign Ministry, Argentina expressed solidarity with the Syrian people and offered condolences to the families of the victims of the bombings.
The Ministry called for enhancing the fight against terrorism in the framework of the international law and on the basis of respecting the human rights and the international humanitarian law.
Argentina, according to the statement, reiterated its support to the efforts exerted by the United Nations and the international community to enhance the mechanisms aimed at achieving immediate solution for the crisis in Syria.
Last Monday, a series of terrorist bombings targeted bus stations, an Electricity Directorate, hospitals and residential neighborhoods in the two coastal cities of Tartous and Jableh, leaving a trail of death in their wake.
